Providing charitable assistance to the Law Enforcement community and citizens of Clackmas County

Clackamas Town Center Victim's Fund Update - One Month from the Shooting

The Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation has received $266,600.00 since setting up the fund on December 12th.  The CCPOBF, a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit, established the fund specifically for the 3 families physically impacted by the actions of the suspect in the case. The donations have been as small as 4 one-dollar bills and as much as $250,000.00.  A total of 146 individual donations have been received.  The donor of the $250,000 was specific as to how those funds would be distributed and wished the Foundation to not announce who the donor is.  Those funds, per their request, have been distributed to each of the recipients by the Foundation.  Each of the impacted families received $80,000 and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office received $10,000 to be put towards continued cooperative training with the retail community. The remaining funds will stay put until each of the families can be contacted and their needs assessed.  That will happen within the next few weeks. The Foundation is continuing to receive donations for the three families and you are welcome to donate as well. Donations can be made by mailing a check to: CCPOBF, PO Box 426, Oregon City, OR 97045 Be sure to make the check out to CCPOBF and put CTC Victim Fund in the memo line. Donations can also be made in person at any branch of Clackamas Federal Credit Union.  Locations can be found by clicking on this link When making a donation at the bank, please let the teller know that the donation is for the CTC Victim Fund, which is under the Clackamas County Peace Officers’ Benevolent Foundation. The Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation does not have any 'admin' fees that are deducted from your donations.  100% of your donation goes to the cause you donated to. On behalf of the families and the Board of Directors of the CCPOBF, thank you to everyone who donated to help and sent their best wishes and prayers.
