Candlelighters Presents Gift to CCPOBF

Today at our monthly board meeting, representatives from Candlelighters For Children With Cancer presented the CCPOBF with a beautiful framed rider jersey and photograph from the 2017 Ride for a Child Team, as a thank you for being a bronze sponsor 3 years running. Jakob (name on jersey) was one of the honored children, and is from Clackamas County. Thank you Candlelighters! We are proud to support this terrific cause. Clackamas County Fallen Officer Memorial Plaza Update

On Wednesday May 10th, the mostly completed LEO Memorial Plaza was unveiled during the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office annual memorial ceremony at the Brooks Station in Clackamas. Survivors of several honored law enforcement officers and deputies attended the event.

I you have not already seen the new memorial plaza, stop by and check it out. It is located adjacent to the front entrance of the Sheriff’s Office Brooks Station, 9101 SE Sunnybrook Blvd., Clackamas, OR 97015. The plaza is expected to be completed later this year with the delivery of two bronze life-size honor guard statues which are currently undergoing a design update.

Special UPDATE on Cops Running Cone!

Last week, the Gladstone Baskin & Robbins (located at 19510 SE McLoughlin Blvd) awarded a check to the CCPOBF Shop with a Cop! fund for $1300. That is enough for another 13 kids to go Shop with a Cop! on December 10th, thanks to the donations that were raised in their store throughout the month of September during “Cops Running Cone!”

Cops Running Cone 2!!

B&R LogoThe Clackamas County Peace Officers Benevolent Foundation and the Gladstone Baskin & Robbin’s Ice Cream Shop are once again partnering to raise funds for the Foundation’s 10th Annual Shop with a Cop event.   Every $100 raised means one more kid can Shop with a Cop! on December 10th, 2016.

Called “Cops Running Cone,” every Tuesday in September from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, there will be at least one Police Officer or Deputy Sheriff scooping ice cream for customers.  The price of the ice cream will be discounted during these hours.
